2014 – Year in Review

Whew! 2014 was quite the year… Here’s a recap of some of the highlights.

Cleveland Collage

The year kicked off with a trip to Cleveland, OH to play with the UR Brass Choir at the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.

I performed my first faculty recital at University at Buffalo which featured a handful of awesome guests including members of the Eastman Guitar Quartet. You can see more details here – https://sungguitar.wordpress.com/2014/02/22/faculty-recital-pics/

I was given this award by the Eastman Community Music School. Very grateful for all my students and colleagues here. It’s such a wonderful school for the Rochester community!

June in Buffalo Collage

I’m pictured here in a rehearsal and performance of David Felder’s “Requiescat” with Ensemble SIgnal led by Brad Lubman. This took place during the June In Buffalo Festival which celebrates contemporary music and its composers. It was an incredible experience to perform alongside such a high caliber ensemble. https://sungguitar.wordpress.com/2014/05/30/big-week-in-buffalo-jib-and-falletta-competition/

Had a blast hanging out in California for the GFA Convention and performing there with the Eastman Guitar Quartet. See more pics here – https://sungguitar.wordpress.com/2014/07/09/gfa-2014/

I was invited to teach for Guitar Workshop Plus again for the two sessions in Toronto and for the first time at the Vancouver campus. Truly an amazing experience!
